A garden business runs on the round: the same properties week after week, extra work every spring, and clients who want to see the job was done. We read six apps' own websites to see how each handles that.
A garden business lives on its round. The same gardens come up week after week, spring piles once-off jobs on top, and clients like to see that the lawn was actually cut. We read six scheduling apps' own websites on 20 October 2026: how visits repeat, how extra jobs fit, and where photos go. Wider view: our scheduling apps roundup.
What a garden round needs from an app
A repeat pattern. Most gardens are weekly or every two weeks.
Room for the spring peak. Clean-ups and once-off jobs land on days already full of round visits, where double bookings start.
Proof per property. Many clients want before and after photos.
Six apps for garden and landscaping teams
We built Action Plan and list it first; the other five follow in no particular order.
Action Plan
Our homepage lists "Garden & landscaping" among the crews we serve, with a "Garden Maintenance" card (homepage). It is a scheduling tool: a drag-and-drop calendar (month, week, day or list) and recurring schedules that the docs describe as "weekly, monthly, or custom" (documentation). A two-week repeat is worth testing on the free trial. Custom fields hold garden size, the crew uses an installable web app, and pricing lists photo updates. There are no quotes or invoices. Only field agents are billed; office roles cost nothing. Above 40 agents it is Custom pricing (contact Action Plan), and pricing states "No Setup Fees" (pricing).
Where it suits: garden teams keeping a weekly round straight and fitting spring work around it, with quotes and invoices done elsewhere.
ServiceM8 (ZA)
ServiceM8 has a "Lawn & Garden Care Software" page: "Create a job once and schedule it to recur at set intervals, such as weekly, fortnightly or monthly, simplifying repeating jobs & maintenance contracts." and "Record job notes, photos & videos." (lawn care page). Paid plans carry a monthly job allowance (ZA pricing); count your monthly visits against it. See ServiceM8 alternatives.
Where it suits: garden businesses that want quotes, invoices and payment in the same app as the round, on phone apps for iOS and Android.
Tradify (ZA)
Tradify lets you "Set recurring jobs that automatically appear in the Scheduler" (scheduling page). It bills per user, and plans include quotes, invoices and "Xero & QuickBooks Online Sync." (ZA pricing). Our Tradify guide.
Where it suits: landscaping firms that quote project work and want it to flow to Xero or QuickBooks Online, with each person on their own login.
WorkOrderPro
WorkOrderPro is "built for South African service companies" (home). Its Professional plan lists "Maintenance contracts & recurring jobs"; Starter does not (pricing).
Where it suits: contractors maintaining estates or commercial grounds on contracts, wanting work orders and invoices from a local vendor.
Omni Field
Omni Field offers "Complete job management software for South African service businesses." (pricing). Its web app "shows the day's schedule, takes one-tap status updates, captures photos and signatures" (mobile app page). Recurring jobs are not stated on the pages we checked.
Where it suits: a one-person garden service or very small team that wants a free plan with photos and invoices, VAT included in the price.
Jobber
Jobber offers "Landscaping business software for growing crews" and lets you "Create visits and collect payments for recurring jobs" (landscaping page). Its pricing page says "All prices in USD" (pricing, 20 October 2026). See Jobber alternatives.
Where it suits: larger landscaping businesses that want a landscaping-focused all-in-one with quoting and payments, and are comfortable billing in US dollars.

Before the spring rush starts
- Can a single visit move after rain without changing the rest of that garden's repeats?
- Can a once-off clean-up drop into a day already full of round visits?
- Do the crew's photos land on the visit, or somewhere else?
- Can garden size and gate codes sit on the booking itself (see custom fields)?
- What do you pay for: logins, field workers, jobs a month or seats? Is VAT in the price?
- Must quotes and invoices sit in the same app, or does your bookkeeper do them?
Put next week's round into Action Plan during the 14-day trial. It covers up to two agents and asks for no credit card. Read pricing, or contact us.
